Call for papers: Conference ‘1989 - A Caesura in Global History and its Consequences’, Deadline: April 30th

The Leipzig ‘Graduate School Global and Area Studies’ organizes an international summer school from June 12th-14th, 2019 in Leipzig and invites now for papers dealing with the historical consequences of 1989 as a caesura in a global perspective. Researchers interested in the topic are invited to submit either a proposal for a panel or an individual paper. The submission deadline is April 30th.[more]


European Network in Universal and Global History awards Walter Markov Prize, Deadline: May 31st, 2019

The European Network in Universal and Global History (ENIUGH) awards the Walter Markov Prize for an outstanding master’s or PhD thesis. Papers that are submitted for the Walter Markov Prize are expected to take a global perspective on its subject. Students can submit their thesis until May 31st, 2019.[more]
